World of Dreams for my Hubby

Today I am sharing with you a Birthday Card made for my Husband.

He has a love of birds and wildlife so I thought this would be suitable for him.

I have used a retired stamp set from Stampin' Up! called
World of Dreams

It as a lovely image of a Birds Nest along with various leaves and sentiments.

I chose to stamp onto Whisper White Card Stock using the following Ink Colours

Soft Suede for the Birds on their nest
Wild Wasabi for the leaves with Watermelon Wonder for the flowers
Sentiment stamped using Tip Top Taupe

There is a little bit of Gorgeous Grunge Stamp Set in the background

The Happy Birthday Sentiment is from the retired set called Gifts of Kindness

I hope you like my card, Hubby did so I am pleased with how it turned out.

Thank you for visiting and hope to see you again soon.

Pootles Blog Hop

Good morning and welcome to my very first
Pootles Blog Hop

I am so pleased to be included in this hop which is showcasing 'New Products' from
Stampin' Up!

I chose to use the new Daisy Delight Product. Beautiful Stamps with matching Designer Series Paper and a new Daisy Punch.

My card fold is known as a 'Double Z Fold' and is a favourite style and one I use often.
Their are various YouTube Tutorial's showing how to make the card so have a browse on their and have a try yourself.

I decided to use 'Pool Party' A4 Card Stock for my base as this is a colour it gives you to use in the DSP Paper Pack, it is also a favourite colour too.

I won't be sharing the card measurements as they can be found when you search YouTube. They are easy to understand and the only thing to make sure is that you have both card bases standing like a 'Z'

In addition to the card bases I cut several pieces from the Designer Series Paper Pack called 'Delightful Daisy'.
A gorgeous set of double sided papers, it is hard to choose a favourite one.

So now is it time to share the Blog Links of the people taking part this month.

Pootles Birthday Blog Hop June

Today I have a card to share with you all which I have made for a Blog Hop I am taking part in.

Pootles - akin Sam Hammond Donald runs a monthly Birthday Blog Hop for members of her team, so this month I decided to take part.

I have recently received new Stamps etc from Stampin' Up! as I am a Demonstrator with them.

Their range of new In Colours are beautiful and these compliment a range of different Stamps, Designer Series Paper, Inks and Card Stock.

For my design, I chose to use Lemon Lime Twist A4 Card Stock for my base.
I stamped onto a smaller piece of Whisper White Card before attaching it to the base.

The new stamps I used are called:

Hello Friend and Flirty Flowers for my sentiment.

My main design of this beautiful Wreath has been stamped using Lemon Lime Twist.
For the sentiment, my chosen colour is Berry Burst Ink along with the corner Flowers.

To add a little interest, I coloured the flower leaves with Watercolour Pencils using Old Olive and then used a Blender Pen to blend.
A couple of the new Enamel Glitter Dots have been added to the centres of the flowers.

I have LOVED taking part in this blog hop and cannot wait to see what everyone else has made!

Buttons and Bows Card Swap Challenge

Hello to all my followers and friends.

I have a card to share with you for  a Swap challenge I belong to on Facebook.

The theme was - Button and Bows and the remit was to create a card style of your one choice, any size, any colour but you had to include:

Buttons and Bows

This is my take for the challenge.

This is a gorgeous Marianne Die to which I added some lovely Button's from the retired Stampin' Up! range called - Subtles.
My hand tied bows are made using SU Ribbon - 1.8" Silver Ribbon

I hope my swap partner has received it today and that she likes my interpretation on the challenge.

Thanks for looking

Hardwood meets new In Colours

Today I am sharing a card I made for a Facebook Group I belong to.

I decided to use one of my stamps for the background which is called

Hardwood

and is available in the New Catalogue which launches Tomorrow June 1st.
I am pleased this set is carrying over as it is such a versatile stamp.

Many uses for men as well as a background for the lovely Flower Stamps.

I stamped it using Crumb Cake before over stamping with this lovely set called Falling Flowers.
This is also a carry over and you can get matching Framelits Dies called May Flowers.

It has been stamped using Berry Burst and for the stamped sentiment, Tranquil Tide.
Both of these are part of the new In Colours for 2017-2018.
The sentiment is from Love and Affection which is no longer available after today.

A few Glitter Dots and Pearls are added for interest.

I hope you like my take on this Stamp Set and if you would like a copy of the new Annual Catalogue please contact me and I will send you one, completely Free.

June is also a good time to think of joining Stampin' Up!

Emerald/Shades of Green Challenge

I am back today to share a card I made for a Facebook Group Challenge.

The challenge was called 'EMERALD' or various shades of Green

Green is not a colour I would normally choose but decided decided to step out of my comfort zone and go for it.

As the lovely Stamp Set called Gorgeous Grunge is retiring at the end of the month, this is the set I chose to work with. My set is well loved and I am sorry to see it go.

My base card which measures 11.75 inches is scored and folded in half using Pear Pizazz Card Stock
A panel a Very Vanilla has been added for me to stamp on.

The inks I used are Always Artichoke, Emerald Envy, Old Olive and Pear Pizazz along with Garden Green Cardstock for the label and butterflies.

A few Enamel Dots complete the design.

In addition to Gorgeous Grunge retiring, the Elegant Butterfly and Bitty Butterfly are also retiring.
I love mine so they will be kept to use for my personal use.

If you would like a copy of the new Annual Catalogue or join my team, please contact me.
I will send you a Catalogue Free of Charge.

Thanks for subscribing to my blog.

Happy Crafting
